Hospital Hill Walk


Roma is known as the cradle of the oil and gas industry and this intriguing 2 kilometre walk takes in 12 of the most historically significant sites.  Clearly marked by descriptive plaques, highlights include site of the first discovery of natural gas in Australia, the site of nation’s first petroleum well disaster and the site of the absorption plant where petrol was manufactured.  A brochure can be collected from the Roma Visitor Information Centre.
